The Same Item, Three Different Prices
Look up almost any everyday product and you will find it selling for three or four different prices depending on where you land. Same function, same basic materials, wildly different tags. That gap is rarely about quality. Most of the time it is about how many hands the product passed through before it reached you, and how many of those hands took a cut.
My Store started from that observation, applied to the ordinary moments where it actually shows up: the kitchen drawer missing the one tool you need right now, a new apartment that needs to be outfitted in a weekend, a small household item that finally gives out on a Sunday when nothing is open. In those moments, people do not want a hundred options. They want one or two good ones, at a price that makes sense.
What We Actually Sell, and What We Don't
We are not trying to be the store with everything. For each category we carry, our team narrows the field down to a small number of items worth stocking, and leaves the rest out. That narrowing is the product, in a sense — it saves buyers the hour they would otherwise spend comparing twelve near-identical listings.
The tradeoff is intentional: fewer choices, but each one chosen for a reason.
Fewer Hands, Lower Price
Here is the part that explains the price difference directly. A typical item on a store shelf has already covered a distributor's markup, a wholesaler's margin, and a share of a retail store's rent and staffing, before the manufacturer's own cost is even counted. None of those layers make the product better. They just add cost on the way to the customer.
My Store works directly with the manufacturers who make these goods, cutting out the distributor and wholesale steps in between. There is no physical storefront to keep lit and staffed, and no brand licensing fee baked into the price. What is left over is passed straight into a lower number on the price tag — not a discount code, not a sale that ends Friday, just the ordinary cost of doing it this way.
The Terms We Stand Behind
Cutting out the middle layers only means something if you can trust what shows up. So the terms here are built to remove the risk from your side of the transaction entirely:
- 30 days to decide, no reason required. If it is not right, send it back — we do not ask why.
- Return shipping is on us. You will not pay to send an item back that did not work out.
- Full refund, no deductions. No restocking fee, no processing fee, no partial credit. The amount you paid is the amount you get back.
- Orders ship within 1-2 business days with tracking provided, so you know where things stand without asking.
- Payment is handled by an encrypted third-party processor. Card details never pass through or sit on our systems.
The logic is simple: we would rather absorb the cost of a return than have someone stuck with an item that does not fit their life. A generous return policy is really just handing the decision back to the buyer, where it belongs, instead of asking you to take our word for it upfront.
